Supporting Women Entrepreneurs
We have been continuously supporting women's employment and economic participation for 16 years, with the understanding that an inclusive economy, where all individuals benefit equally from opportunities, will grow faster and more efficiently.
Our efforts for women entrepreneurs, which are an important part of both financial and non-financial inclusive support, are grouped under four main headings: financing, education, encouraging, and access to new markets.
Under the education support, we provide entrepreneurship training to nearly 4,500 women entrepreneurs through the Turkey Women Entrepreneurs Academy, while also creating environments for knowledge and experience sharing to support them in developing business opportunities.
Contributing to the encouragement of women entrepreneurs and the emergence of role models, the applications for Türkiye’s Woman Entrepreneur Competition have exceeded 45,000.
Women Entrepreneurs Executive School of Türkiye, which has been supporting the development and capacity building of women entrepreneurs uninterruptedly for 12 years, reached nearly 350 women entrepreneurs with the education programs in 2023.
Garanti BBVA continued to extend support to the “Women in Trade” platform, which was launched under the leadership of KAGIDER to strengthen women entrepreneurs’ cooperation with each other and with institutions, and to tap new opportunities within the scope of its mission of penetrating new markets.
